official offset thread?

Could someone actually measure the offset a first gen (more specific for me SA)? I am 6000 miles from my car and can't do it. I figure we can get it compiled in one spot to get this question answered proper.

With my car I am doing a rear end swap ad want to know how much wider I should make the rear to fit my huge wheels. Rear is 17x9 +44 which is close to 7" backspace. If someone says I need 5" of backspace I will simply make the rear 2.5" wider. No worries I could care less if it sticks out. I just want the answer to the "Actual" backspace we can afford. My front will need spacers so I need to know how big with 17x8 +44.

Thank you

Also it would need to be noted which car [year and trim or retrofitted suspension] the wheels belong to as IIRC the GSL and GSL-SE have different hub "locations" causing the fitment to change between identical wheels.

But I like the idea because scrolling through the "Rarest and hottest wheels" thread rarely gives up all the details for finding the offset of someones wheels so it can be noted for later use.

Somethin like this might work.
Year:
Trim:
Coilovers or Stock [to allow people to know whether they will rub the inside or not]:
Wheels: name and size [xx by xx]
Offset: +/- xx
Tires: [optional]
