OEM driveshaft or no?

Alright stupid question. How do I know if I have one of the driveshafts with replaceable u-joints or not. 1985 gsl with GSL-SE rear end.

79-82 have replaceable u-joints...83-85 do NOT have replaceable u-joints thus you MUST buy a whole new drive shaft!!

The later driveshafts can be retofitted, if you can find a shop that knows how to do it. Should be cheaper than a new one.

just have a custom drive shaft made with replacible u joints it should be about three hundred dollars or so at a good driveline shop

Use a 79 - 82 shaft and just change the penion flange.

ok what I specifically meant to ask was how do I know if my driveshaft is not OEM meaning how do I know if the PO replaced it with an OEM one or one with replaceable u-joints. sorry bout that.

are the u-joints a direct part of the driveshaft? that should tell you
