Now thats a nice way of doing Fuel injection

Found this pic in the RX-8 Forum today, not sure on the setup, but I think that one awesome looking setup ... I bet that when it does fire up it looks like an F1 injector firering.

Interestingly, I was just working on a manifold like that. It's going on this:

Except that ours uses a plenum, and the typical primary/secondary injector setup.

I don't have a link to it ... It was just a random pic that was presented in the rx-8 forum ... but from the looks of it, it looks like something like a sideraft carb intake setup, with custom blocks with valves inthere for opening and maybe a weber top added to it or it could of been custom made too. As for the fuel rail, you can purchase a blank one and drip and tap the holes for the injectors, and also by the looks of it there seems to be another injector rail in the back feeding directry into the intake might be the secondary's

It might be easier to have the valve open the other way around, and connect them both with a single rob and hook up the accelerator hook up on the side like traditional type

Thats a sick piece!

Too bad you couldnt run something like that on the street...I wouldnt hesitate if there was a way to filter the air....but I couldnt bring myself to risk it.

Ill bet that thing makes some niiiiice power!

I love custom intakes, ever since I saw that video of the 3 rotor with slide valves Ive been fascinated with the design work that goes into the beautiful intakes you see every once and a while.
If I had a bucket of money, Id love to just play around with ideas on a CNC machine. At least there are some out there brave enough to open their deep pockets, and I guess they will keep me satisfied........for now!

WOW. It wouldn't be a DD by any means, but you think that you could resist breaking that bad boy out for a meet, or show and shine!

That original photo is pretty awesome, but I wonder about the true setup on it. You can see normal fuel injectors in the back, on the manifold, but then also the two that shoot down the air stack.

I don't see any lines hooked up, but is the one that fires down the air stack nitrous? Or even a wet nitrous kit? Thats the only other time I've seen a setup like this.

it is pretty much the same setup as in 1st Pic I posted. Two injectors for primary and two for secondary. No NOS involved
