Berryman's actually has a main mfg. and distribution plant down on Great SouthWest Pky in Grand Prairie, so it's cheaper than Gumout here in the Metroplex...on top of that Gumout is always havin a sale in one of the parts store, so you never pay full price....my "test" of a carb cleaner is its secondary ability to kill things....Gumout Carb Cleaner can kill a Yellowjacket flying right at you. Raid can't. Brake-Kleen can't. Black Flag can't. Berryman's couldn't, either. Another interesting thing about Gumout Carb Cleaner is a strange ability to alter the physical composition of wire insulation....you have to try it yourself to believe it. Get any old wire out of a junker engine bay because it takes a little practice to find the balance and I don't want anyone saying I ruined their wire harness. Try to get a long piece of electrical wire that's been heat or oil hardened and is no longer flexible. If the insulation is cracked, that's precisely the test subject you need. Wear gloves, soak a shop rag with Gumout, and rub that hardened plastic insulation on your test wire. It takes a couple of passes, but the Carb Cleaner relinks the plastic molecules and will restore the plastic to about 85% of it's previous flexibility. Strange but true...never did the experiment with Berryman's, but the two smell completely different, so I don't think it will be capable of replicating that trick....
LOL at killing flying bugs with Gumout!
BTW, Amsoil "Power foam" will do the same thing with wire insulation, old rubber parts, etc.
But it takes B-12 to dissolve the concrete in your driveway! (True story) -WG
