NON SE Surging Idle

I have an 85 RX-7 with the 12a, and when I have the air conditioner on,
the idle surges from about 900 to about 1200 rpm.

If I turn the compressor off it goes away.

any one have any Idea what I can do?

Thanks

CHuck E.

Sounds like possibly the vacuum solenoid that controls the rpm when A/C is being used or you have a vacuum leak in the same circuit or the clutch on the A/C may be going out.

I believe this is out of design. The a/c soleniod adjusts your fuel while running the a/c due to the added load the compressor puts on the engine. But I am sure someone will reply with the particulars
