No start fuel system problem
I have a 1985 5 letter that has a 13b and it will crank but wont start. Found out that if you take the fuel line off from the fuel rail it will run for a few seconds. Put the line back on and it wont fire. just put a new pump on it but it done the same thing with the old one. Any help will be great to help me getting this on the road. Will be calling the dealer tomorrow to see if they can help.

First time I have seen a Gsl-Se called a "5 letter". Lol.
Well, you obviously have fuel and spark to the trailing side if it runs.
But do you have spark to the leading side?
If you do then you have a flooding issue. Possible that you have a bad coolant temp sensor, bad AFM. or a big vacuum leak.
Was the car running fine then you worked on it then it had this problem. Or did you just get the car and it has this problem?

RE: No start fuel system problem
im in Lexington NC it does have spark to both leading and trailing plugs. Actually just got it back from the dealer last tuesday. they said they checked the spark and fuel pressure and injector pulse and said everything was ok. then after they checked that the car started. I did change the engine because the other engine blew by the last owner but I did hook everything back up the way I took it off. Thanks for the info

well u could have spark and the spark could just be weak....if u say the dealers checked fuel pressure and spark and its ok..then id check the compression of the rotors....could very well be a bad apex seal....thats if the fuel air and spark checks out ok...
