ok went and got the car 85 base model. And it has had the emissions removed. And it lacks power, dosnt idle correctly. I think it would be some vacuum caps i missed on the carb. Would this cause this. It also spits and sputters. Sorry my computer is gay and wont let me search.

 

BTW you guys are alot of help on the other parts of th forums i usually have to bump and pray for an answer

 

It could be the carb ur fuel system. My cars got issues with its idle and cant even get over 5000 rpms at this point in time. I noticed when I plugged my idle vacuum once while it was idling it stopped idling so rough and running so poorly. Was the car sitting for a long period of time? And it can't hurt to do a carb rebuild. Also check out the fuel pump.

 

its been sitting i know for at least 2 weeks. And ill try fiding other vacuum leaks thanks for the advice.

 

Yeah, get those vacuum leaks checked out. Then make sure you have spark on your leading ignition...
