Nitrous fuel line plumbing

OK, so I have a nitrous kit and have a few questions. Mainly, do I need to have a fuel regulator for my nitrous fuel (gasoline) line? I have 8 psi Carter and have engine fuel set to ~2.5 psi. In the nitrous instructions, it says I need 5 psi. Can I just split the line before my engine FPR? Also, the instructions say that I should set the nitrous to 900 psi. How exactly do I do that? Do I just open the valve a little bit or is there some sort of external regulator I should buy for that? The kit I have is an Edelbrock kit. On the bottle valve, there is a hex screw. I havent turned it or played with it yet because I dont want to mess anything up before its installed and the bottle gets filled.

I posted this here, as the first gen guys are always willing to help. TIA

I'd just "T" before the regulator.

Fuel solinoids can handle quite a bit of pressure (8psi is nothin')

I believe Nitrous pressure is set by the temprature of the bottle only. 900-1000 psi is ideal but you don't have precise controll of it (because the level of the bottle and temp are contunually changing) So you keep it as close as you can with blankets/warmers and the like.

Talking Learn to cheat

Run a separate f/p and 2 sets of bottles

1. Bottle #1 = has a line but not connected to the fogger. this is the one you unhook when you're asked by the other party.

2. Bottle #2 = this is the real thing. Hidden and is remotely operated.

haha wacky. The bottle will be under the pass side bin door, and the valve will be poking through the driver side bin so that I can simply lift up the bin door and turn it on. The purge button is going in the place of the choke **** and the master arm will be somewhere. Havent figured out a good place for it yet. As for under the hood, I cant really hide the solenoids very much so "the other guy" just wont be able to look at the engine lol.

Thanks Alex, that explains it then. I may get a blanket down the road but I want to get this all hooked up and try it out a few times. Gonna run 50 to get it all figured out and then bump up to 75.
