i have a modded nikki carb on my 82 rx7. even before i got it modded it started to play up it has been rebuilt. it seems to flood all the time even when the float levels are set right and i just got a new carter fuel pump. it floods usually after you bring the secondaries in, it also sort of hesitates around 7000 rpm's.

anybody know whats wrong cause im all out of ideas

Are you using a fuel regulator in conjunction w/the carter pump? I assume it's approximately a 7 to 10 lb pump, and without a regulator, that would cause you some problems. If I remember correctly, you need a 4 lb regulator w/the Yaw modded Nikki...

 

how moddif. do you havo on your Nikki??
