Nikki carb leak... ??
I've got a yaw race carb, it's been sitting on the vehicle for 2 years, was only run briefly before going into storage. I went to try and get it running the other day and noticed a fuel leak, for lack of a better pic I'll throw this one out there and try to describe it...
On the passsenger side aprox in the middle of the side of the carb is a boss with a screw in the middle of it. On my stock nikki it's plugged off, but the Yaw has a threaded plug in it. When I turn on the Fuel Pump it leaks around that fitting, not out of the float bowl and the sight glass is good, my float level is still good. Can anyone give me any advice? I'd really like to start driving this again now that I have some more time.

The plug you're talking about is the Richer solenoid plug; the equivalent to an electronic power valve. It's not needed on a modded carb, and the bung should be sealed.
The source of the leaking fuel is a pair of fuel passages that are drilled into the right side fuel bowl. The bottom supplies fuel and I think the top supplies float bowl pressure.
Either remove the plug and reseal with teflon tape, or remove fuel pump fuse and idle out the fuel, blow out the bung w/compressed air, and pack it with good ole JB weld, or epoxy resin putty.
This leak is only an annoyance and is not a vacuum leak.

managed to check this out today and get a better pic....
What I'm talking about is clearer in this pic.
I didn't have the right tool to remove the plug with me today, (I'm assuming it's an allen but it's at a difficult angle to see and I'm not sure) but I'll be getting on it tommorow.

You won't ever need that on that carb again, so you could just go ahead and pack it with two part epoxy paste roll. (About 3 bucks for a "roll of quarters" sized tube, usually by the register @ any Napa store. GREAT stuff.)
