got my truck to run but the carb is to big runs like sh** going to put the stock one back on and was wondering what wires if any on the carb need to be hooked up I have no rats nest or any wireing for that matter just basics thanks

From: Trying to convince some clown not to put a Holley 600 on his 12a.
There's only one that has to be hooked back up...the vent solenoid.
It's on the driver's side of the carb, dead center on the airhorn, and has a single black and white wire dangling from it.
This wire needs positive 12V when the ignition is turned on. It supplies power to a tiny electromagnet that pulls back a spring-loaded plunger. When the power is cut, the plunger springs closed and seals the carb vent.
