New Wheels for the 7 (15x7.5)

Found a great deal on these rims online. They are 4x110 and are just the look i was looking for with the black mesh center and chrome lip. I am pretty excited. They should arrive in about a week.

Now for the search for some nice tires... Any suggestions?

Depending on what the weathers like there I would say get some Yokohama AVS ES100s, I love mine, they grip hard, hard enough I was emptying fluid out of my resivors, and have lasted pretty good.

Uhhh, time for some new hydraulics....or you probably should be looking at your brakes?

Ive worked my brakes harder than hard, and until they fail completely (has happened to me once) I havent lost any fluid....

Enkie 92 series. Grest find. That's what I roll, but my senters are white factory. Noone has ever seen white centers from the factory so I'm keeping them that way. Although I do admitt black looks amazing!

Tires

I am sure you have read the numerous posts about the size tires that will fit, so i won't go into that... but i will recommend a tire.

Bridgestone Potenza RE960 Pole Position

I purchased a set of these and i LOVE them... i have four cars, two out of the four have Bridgestones... I have tried goodyear, yokohama, michelin, & pirelli. I really like the Bridgestones.

Pirelli sucks, i will never buy them again. No complaints about the other brands.

The reason i recommend the Potenza 960's is because unlike most high performance tires, these have a treadwear rating of 400 and a traction rating of AA!!! Not too often will you find AA traction with 400 treadwear. Check out tirerack.com, they have lots of feedback for this tire and i think they are around 60 bucks a piece for 15" sizes.

Enjoy you wheels!

nice. but 1 question..are ur fenders flared? 7.5 wide up front or rear? i ahve 7in wide and i suppose u can try to squeeze them in..possibly with fender stretch/roll? if u dont have flares already. anyways, im driving on hankook rs2. as for tires, how bout a nice 225-45 by hankook rs2? i have 205s but plan to run the 225 as well. nice wheels and good luck.

No, I dont have my fenders flared. Id like to get the wheels first to see exactly how much im going to need to flare them out. The wheels are 7.5 all the way around. Ive been looking at a bunch of different tires but im not sure if 225's are too wide for the rim, which is like 190mm. Ill probally end up going with 205's since theres so many more choices. Im leaning towards these NT NeoGen VR's @ 205/50R-15

**plus there only $64 a tire which doesnt seem too bad.

If you need flares, the rubber/plastic flares from a mid 80's VW Cabrio or Golf will fit quite nicely. I've got a set on my car right now and they look pretty damn good with a little trimming.

With that kind of width, be prepared to have to roll/cut your fender lips. My wheels just cleared thanks to camber gain on compression. Yours probably won't.

Did someone really just recomend NeoGens? LOL! Ricer. Worst "performance" tire ever... The tire was designed for looks!

I read that the Neogens were good, but ill take your word for it if their not any good. Arent the gforce tires super expensive? Im not really looking to spend more than 70 a tire.

The first neo gens were recalled. can't tremember why I thik they woud get super hard after time and kill people. It was like driving with plastic tires. then they came out with the Neo Gen II. IMHO the BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KD are the best street tire at $160 each. Oh and Grassroots motorsports agrees with me. But was a $70 value that's a tough decision there are a fair amount of good tires in that price range. Just shop by size on www.tirerack.com and you'll see what I'm talking about.

All falken street tires suck there is allways a better tire at about the same price with exception to the azenis 215's or 615's. And good luck finding 215's anymore. 615's are awesome.

Your wheels are 15x7. Pretty sure Enkei didn't make these in 7.5 is so they were in 13 or 14's.

Absolutly have top agree on the G-Force KD's!!!
I ran these in a 205/50/15, and couldnt believe how well those things stuck. I ran them daily, in the hills, track days and a bunch of auto-x... Even at the high end of the price spectrum, you cant beat them.
Only issue was (NW) wet weather traction. they did everything in the wet very well, but tended to be rather unpredictable at random times.....

Good looking wheels...

yeah, the seller just emailed me and said they are actually 15x7's, so yeah youre right. Oh well, thats still wide enough for me. Im thinkin ill go with the 205 gforce since it seems to be one the best tires out there.

The 205/50/15 is a PERFECT fit for a 15x7.
Throw a set of RB springs under that baby, and your wheel arches will be filled BEAUTIFULY!!!

haha those are the exact set of rubber I have on my car right now, even after 851stgen12a beating on them with all that he mention and then letting them sit for over a year they still grip amazing-lee, stiffest sidewalls I have ever felt driving which makes every high speed steering motion so perdictible.

remember when I came and picked them up from you and you warned me of driving them in the cold :kill2: I took my car out for a spin the other day, literally g-forces and 3'' of solid ice don't like each other haha. Have you returned to the sevens ?
