New toys installed this weekend - seats - rotors
Got some new seats, drilled/slotted rotors with all new bearings, braided lines, hawk pads. And a new headunit and amp.
I modified the stock seat bracket/sliders to just bolt to the new seats.
I'll take more pix of the brackets tommorow when I pull them off to paint them.
Overall the fit great. the mods rise the seat 1/2" but the seat sits 1 1/2" lower than the factory, so it ends up being 1" lower after installed. Very comfy and has slots for 5 points
The new stereo is nice to, has more options than a caddie
and the subs now have 150 watts vs the old 60. so I've got new vibrations in the car, these 8's REALLY FREAKIN POUND NOW!

Sweet seats!!!
I have a question about your door bars for the cage. I just finished mine this weekend, and the instructions say the rear part of the bar should fall between the shoulder and elbow. Your's appear to be lower than that, any particular reason? Just curious.

nice, I tried have those exact seats in my 7 (except all black), and it was too hard to get in and out for a daily driver, i guess i'll just have to strap myself in real good with my 4 point. =) If anyone in cali wants to buy those seats, i have a black pair for sale.

The RB clutch is firm lets say. I like it, a bit more work but I love the grip
The black **** is the Sony remote, it lets you control almost all deck functions, track, volume, bass ect with simple hand twists, very nice and keeps your eyes on the road.
Yah the seats are a bit more work to get in and out, and even more with the cage.
and even though in the summer I try to drive it everyday, its so much fun.
it is becoming more of a nice day weekend car. but Its hard not to drive it......
I'll get some more pix soon, the car is absolutly filthy, and so many things to put back together, it was on jackstands for a month. Got the revolution in 2 weeks, then tear it apart again for more "tweeks"

how much?
Just an update on the seat brakets......
the passenger side is such a pain. I gave up trying to make it a slider and just fix mounted it.
I would of had to raiser the outer side of the seat and inch to get it level with the inside due to the hump.
I still raised it 1/2" and welded and angled bracket on the inside. But it now sits level and is the same hight and distance back as the drivers side so they look good.
I'll be taking them apart and painting them when I get back from the Revolution.
SO I'd say 50% of this mod was easy, I'm going to work on relocation of the slider down under the seat so as to not raise the seat.

Now to the easy part. It takes about 20 mins to do and requires only a switch and some wiring. First find the wire that starts the "lifting" process. It supplies power to the motors that open the lights. Split this wire, and mount the on/off switch on a extension of this wire (in the car). The result is a very basic redneck system that lets you cut the power to the motors when they go up. Then its just a matter of fiddling with the on/off switch until you have the desired angle.
NOTE: This is a very basic (and redneck
) solution to the problem. I know it works fine on a 2.gen, but.. It will not solve the problem with the lights facing down into the front bumper.Anybody else?
Nice car by the way!
Very nice set-up Mar7!!!
One of these days I'm going to figure out how to attach Pictures to my Sig, so I can get a (Nice Set-up sgieldon). 84GSL w/Bunches of $$$ invested in her.
Quick ?
Where did you get your Shifter Boot from? I have the same **** as yours and they look good together instead of my Stock Boot and Your Shift ****.
Thanks

Thanks for the comments
Wondering when someone would bring up the Type R seats
The shifter boot and **** came as a package from Summit Racing, I drilled up into the **** to make it sit lower.
Also I took the stock shift boot, and turned it upside down and cut it up a bit.
I'm going to modify the linkage so no electrical trickery will be needed
