new streetport down ALREADY!!

Okay, so my new streetport is shot already. I bought the car with about 200 miles on it, and apparently the previous owner ragged on it and free-revved it to like 5k and then up to 7 k just when he was loading it onto the trailer the day that he picked it up. Well, it spun a rotor bearing, so my rear rotor is just kinda flopping around...it's just gotten progressively worse since I owned it, and I took it to the shop complaining of a lack of power and some thrashing noise, and they did a compression check and my rear rotor was like 4.1, 3.7, 4.3. bad news...anyway, hopefully it'll be all it's cracked up to be once I get it back...but we'll see soon enough (about 6 weeks because they're backed up on jobs). at least it won't require a full rebuild. Anyhow...that's my disappointing sob story. I guess it's back to driving the Cummins again.

When I spuna rear rotor bearing:

Rear rotor hosed because rotor bearing chewed up where it seats into the rotor

Rear rotor housing hosed because rotor was not turning on it's normal path, it was hitting the housing instead of gently turning around in it. Heard distinctive tap-tap sound that increased with rpm's.

rear stationary gear hosed because same things above.

Intermediate and rear plates hosed due to same things above.

e-shaft did not like the spun bearing either. it was nicely clearanced shall we say...

huh...that sucks I can't see how a rebuild streetported motor could get that badly damaged from 10 seconds of reving that high putting it on the trailor...besides thats like crazy...unless he reved to 7k dropped the clutch into first then to 5k in second going on the trailor but in order to do that he'd be going like 40km/h...keep us posted on what happens
