New to the RX...looking for rims
Hey yall i just picked up my 82 RX about 3 weeks ago, unfortunately i ran a 18.7 1/4 so the motor will be coming up on the list sooner or later. Right now i am looking for a good set of rims (not diggin the 13's) i have been told its a 4/110 bolt pattern and they are hard to find rims for. First is this true (4/110) and if so where should i look for rims, any help will be great. Thanks

someone from RX7Club had adapters made by them and was pleased with the results. they cost quite a bit less than the cp-racing.
the set i'm selling has 1 bent rim(not BADLY bent, but out of spec according to my Hunter DSP 9700) and come balanced/mounted with Kumho Ecsta 711 215/50/15 with around 50% tread left. the bent rim isn't so bad...i still autocross on it just fine. i can provide the exact information on how bad the rim runout is if needed and the rims are steel, so it can be easily straightened..i'm just a lazy bum.

I am using the bolt on adapters on my rx7 and my starlet. They have been on the rx7 for about 2 years without any problems. As ling as you bolt them on and tighten them down with the wheel unloaded they center up nice and ride smooth. I trapped 120+mph in the 1/4 and it felt great, and I have had it faster than that before
I got my last set from adaptamerica on ebay. If you get the 1.25" wide adapters that convert your lug pattern to 4*100 you can use honda front drive rims. The extra width that the spacers add make the offset work out nice. You will need to trash the stock lug bolts and put in some screw in studs.

I'm surprised no one has suggested just going out and getting the parts to do the GSL-SE suspension swap. After that you have a nice common bolt pattern, 4x114.3mm instead. Also, the 13's aren't whats slowing you down Go to tirerack.com and do a lookup on the wheels they have for the different bolt patterns. If I wasn't going to do the SE swap myself, I'd get the Kosei's. Of course I just went to tirerack and they are only showing two different wheels for the SE too but that is wrong. Not only that, they show an FC and 5 bolt wheels too for the 84-85 GSL-SE.
