My 82 gle 5-speed is doing better after all emmisions removed but not right yet,1. Is there a step by step process anywhere for resetting the timing?I also think I need a pcv valve setup because the crankcase is making moisture already,any pictures of this setup?Main problems now are cold start,like no choke at all for first minute and engine still flat pulling a hill,Thanks for any help,MW

 

Did you follow the FB Emissions removal by Rx7Carl? Everything is covered there. If your already getting moisture in your crankcase and your other problems sounds like its not hooked up right…d/k vacuum leak? Post pics or explain what you did.

 

When i followed the Mazspeed tutorial I also had a problem with moisture buildup. I ditched the stock purge valve system and used a PCV valve from a 1990 Dodge Caravan 3.0L engine. A couple bucks at any parts store. Put it inline with a hose between the oil vent tube on the oil fill pipe and a large port on the intake manifold. Problems went away pretty quick.

 

I ran a line from the nipple on the oil filler tube to a nipple on the base of the carb. Seems to work okay like that...
