The New and Improved "What is the Seven's Biggest Competitor"

Let's keep the bickering to a minimun on this one, guys. I think we've already decided what the MAIN competitor was, but the original poster asked someone else to make a new one, and I was bored, so I obliged!

For this poll, let's suppose that "Competition" means in sanctioned racing and street performance. That'll keep things even cleaner.

Yeah, but I included the hot-hatch category for. . . certain types of people.
Want the Audi? Vote Hot-Hatch! It includes the Corolla too. . . .
And, I guess you're right. the GTX WAS an FC era car. Oh well, I wanted another Mazda on the list :p

I like the Audi. . . .

You forgot Porsche 911, which was the principal race competitor. Do you mean TVR or TR-7?

Dammit. Sorry, TR7.

And. . . yeah, I fucked up on the Porsche, too, but, hey, just consider "Porsche" to mean all street-production "Porsche" or something like htat.

Damn my friend Jack D.!

Man, I want a 911 of around that period of time. That would be damn sexy pictures. My 7 and my 911 sitting next to one another. I chose the Supra by the way just because I don't like them, but in all honesty in the day I would say the biggest competition would have been either the 924/944.

I'm assuming the "2xx ZX" choice is for all variations of the Datsun (yes it was still called Datsun when the 7 came out)? I've owned my '79 since new, and the direct competitors were the Datsun 240Z, and the Porsche 924...the 944 was not out yet.

I'm just trying to clean it up, if you know what I mean.

Loki, bad. You get to sit in the corner for an hour :P

Yes, 2xx Z is all 2 series Z cars. All three.

I'm surprised to have seen someone put 200 SX. That was my daily driver for a while, so I HAD to put it (Known as S12 in other countries, I guess)
