new to the game
hey just bought my first rx-7, actually its the first car iv'e ever owned personally. I love it, i think feel rotory power is the best thing in the world, but i only know the very basics about the engine and the car, i has hoping maybe there would be some people out there willing to give me some info bout the engine i dont know maybe some stats and what not...some good first mods...been thinking bout getting a performance carburator, exhaust, etc... my car is a 1981 from what ive found it pushes about 105hp and and has a top speed of 125? well sorry for rambling on but any info/advice or some links to good sites would be awsome
couldnt add pics aparently all of my pics' file sive is too big

Hey Onslaught Congrats on your 7. Welcome to the club. I believe if you look in the archives section here in the first gen forum, you should be able to find just about any information you need. Happy hunting.

well bro, depending on your cash you should start with suspension, as long as your car runs good and is manual...definetly change your oil and coolant, tranny fluid brake fluid maybe even your differential fluid, replace oil and gas filter and air filter, timing and tune carb etc.
i have eibach springs pro series and some tokico illumina 5 way adjustable shocks this will run you like close to 700 bucks..but from here you can beef your car uop and be able to handle it...you dont have to get adjustable shocks the tokico hp series is good..you should replace your steering bushings too
youll need an exhaust but you live here in cali so you have to get a catalytic converter, but racing beat headers are good... www.racingbeat.com
racing beat power pulse exhaust is good too, then just have your midpipe made at the exhaust shop
NGK multi fire plugs(really nice) and some wires, a msd 6a ignition box would be ideal
also you can upgrade the carb, but it is pricey and sometimes takes more gas... but the stock nikki carbs really suck so you get a lot of power from the upgrades...youll need a new intake manifold for this too.
actually your first major goal should be to find someone that will smog it...
then you can do the fun stuff
you have to remove the emissions control **** often refered to as the "rats nest"
im only 16 and ive put my heart and sole into my bitch, its my first car too
if you have any questions pm me
