New Flush Mount Kit In The Works
I have taken it upon my self to put this into action.
I am in the process of working on a new kit for the SA/FB for flush mounts.
The price all said and done will probably be under $400 for buckets and lights with lexan covers.
The finished product should be done around Jan by the time i do fitment and send them back for a final mock up and mold.
Yes they are carbon fiber.
Yes the covers are Lexan
No there arent any ugly exposed rivets likt the CP racing kit.
Yes the lights are PIAA.
Tell me what you think so far?

I am not actually making the kit. I am dealing with a company who makes a kit. They are sending me a prototype to fit to my FB. After all is well I will send the kit back to them and they will do a final mock up. Once its done they will send it back to me and I can fit it. If it works They will give me the final price and I can post all the information on how to obtain it. My reason for asking is so I can let them know what kind of volume thay can expect. If its only like 5 or 6 people who are interested they might not be into it. But if I tell them that 50 or 60 people are interested it makes good business sense for them to make the final kit.
Either we can all have them or I will have the sickest 1 off prototype one of a kind CF flushmounts on the planet.
I would prefer to help out my fellow rotary brothers!!!
Either way I wont recieve the prototypes til December so we have some time.

I'll be interested as long as it's not totally outrageous in price. Any cutting involved of the sheetmetal? Any option for maybe just a sheetmetal or fiberglass buckets for cheaper price? I think selling a kit and just the buckets with covers would be good because it gives the option of going with HID's if one would want to

Looks like a good start but I would prefer fiberglass. CF is starting to grow old and it might not be as fashionable in the future. I would also not feel bad painting fiberglass but would hate to paint over any CF.
AND.... thanks for the heads up and lets hope they are available in the very near future...

Airflow is my life
I think they look good. I'm in if they are properly functional and adjustable. I drive at night alot and seeing safely at night is more important than shedding some weight and having custom lights. If the lights arent legit DOT legal headlights then I would probably go for the blank kit so I could use what the Miata guys use. Keep us posted. And Scott is right, follow through is muy importante. Good luck.

If they turn out half as nice as alot of the FD kits, they are worth the price. I am very interested in what kind of light output they give and such.
Very nice deal though getting these put into market!
