New/Different intake for 84 GSL??

I saw the one made by Bonez that Rotary Performance has on their website that uses the K&N filter and new lid/post with the same lower air-filter housing. Is this worth it's price? Or does anyone make a different one? What are my options for an open air element for the stock carb? (I could care less about the emissions stuff as it's all coming off soon anyway.)

Here's the link to the ONLY one I can find.

Thanks!

You can make the Bonez system for far less than they sell it. The K&N air filter P/N e-2700 is only 35.00 online or through a discount place. Now you cut the extra material off of the stock air cleaner lid.

Voila! You have the same system.

The Racing Beat system is noce and may even be a better solution as the filter assembly kind of acts like a huge venturi.

rx7carl has a write up on converting your stock box to a cold air-intake. I imagine that would be better than this set up (cheaper too). Do a search, it should be on this forum..

I bought my car with the Bonez intake thing on it.. ehhh...Not worth the price in my book.
You could make the same damn thing with some all thread, some thick aluminum and some patience with an angle grinder w/cutting wheel. You could use any filter element too.
