new clutch

well a few weeks ago the weight retaining ring on my centerforce 2 clutch broke sending all those weights flying all around my trans. Well i sent it in to Centerforce and they sent me a brand new clutch and pressure plate. Pressure plate looks exactly like my last one, my clutch on the other hand is very different. My old clutch didnt have all the little wire type things (silve things in the pic) throughout it. Anyone know the difference?
