New 12A Turbo Owner. Driving tips?

I have never owned a turbo vehicle before. Besides checking fluids more often what else should a i keep in mind?

I guess my biggest question is if i drove the car hard in town then relaxed the whole way home doing under 30mph on the back roads. Do I really need to sit in my driveway and let it idle so the turbo will cool? I don't really like this cause the cars engine tends to heat up if you just let it idle. How long does it take to cool down to safe temp levels. Also would I need to do this if I just drove it calm the whole trip and never boosted?

Having owned several turbos in the past I would say you are fine driving home on no boost for it to cool down. It is really only an issue at the track when you have been racing. If you have an intercooled turbo then you don't really even need to worry about it when driving around town.

Fix your heating problems first. If you are starting to overheat at idle check the engagement on your clutch fan, if you are still using it.

You will be fine otherwise.
