Just go to the parts store and either ask or look for Seafoam. It is called seafoam its not a slang term.
How i use this stuff is i get a long enough piece of vaccume hose and install it on one of my vaccume ports after starting the car then with the hose connected to running engine insert other end of hose into seafoam and keep the revs up this will smoke alot but will burn off any deposits you have in your engine. (stuck corner seal due to carbon buildup) While your at the store by some MMO. If seafoam dont work then soak motor in MMO and handcrank motor over for a day or so this MMO is like a detergent so it will breakdown the carbon. Good luck

so the problem was a seal.. that really sucks, no problem though just had my mechanic put in another 12a. mine was street ported, this one is street ported and half bridged. he pulled the old one out and had the new one in all in the matter of about two hours... not bad huh?

If I read between the lines, I'm guessing "low compression carbon seals" means "low boost carbon seals". Some people may not know the difference.

30 psi sucks and I'm surprised the engine will even start. Since all of the readings are the same #, I would question the compression tester. Even on good engines there is some variation. Try another tester, if the reading s don't go up, reinstall the schrader valve and get an overall total. If the reading still doesn't rise, do the test with a warm engine and add capful of motor oil down each barrel of the carb.

Keep in mind, the correct testing procedure is with the engine at operating temperature, throttle wide open and cranking rpm at 250 minimum.

Carbon seals are lighter than the steel ones, wear faster, are easier on the housings both in wear and when they fail and are designed for engines built for 8k+ rpms, NA/all motor applications only. Nitrous and turbo power adders are a nono.
