Need Seat Dimensions! PLEASE!!!

Hey Guys,

I need one of you to help me out in a big way if possible. I found some nice seats on ebay that I'm thinking about getting but I'm not sure about the seats fitting right. I'm not at home so there's no way that I'm going to be able to measure my seats 'til after the auction is over. If someone could go measure the seats in their 7 I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT! I need the width, height, and depth measurements in inches. I have an 85 GS with the cloth seats, but I don't think that really matters. I'm pretty sure all 7's had about the same size seats.

Okay guys... I'm waiting on one of you bums to get up and grab a tape measure! Thanks in advance!!

Jamie

*Edit* PLEASE HURRY!! haha

I measured mine a long time ago when I got a Corbeau A4.

This is for an 84 GSL-SE leather seat.

Height: 35.5 (head rest all the way up)
Width: 21
Depth: 22

The corbeau A4 just barely fits width wise. The shoulder "wing" almost contacts the door and the otherside is close to the center console.

Height: 35
Width: 21.5
Depth: 21.5

Thanks for the measurements! The seats I'm lookin at are 22" wide. Do you think I'd have a problem fitting them? It's only a quarter of an inch more on each side... Height wise they are fine, 35". The depth concerns me too. They are 23" deep. Do you think that this would give me problems? Thanks for your help!

On my seat there is no more than 1/8" clearance between the door panel and the seat when the door is closed and the seat is in a normal position. The door panel protrudes slightly in that area for the door lock ****.

The whole seat may be able to move a little bit towards the center of the car but I am using the brackets that Corbeau makes.

Also of note the seat is actually a passenger side seat installed on the drivers side of the car.

I included a link to a picture that shows a little bit about what I am talking about. That isn't me driving....BTW, but it is my car.

The depth shouldn't be a problem. There is plenty of sapce for that.

Nice car. Do you think it is conceivable that I could get the seats to fit with those dimensions if I were making my own brackets and everything? I don't want the things to look like absolute crap but I'm willing to have them fit in there pretty comfy. I'll probably take the brackets off of my stock seats and weld them on to the aftermarket ones...

It will be tight width wise. I can't say for sure either way if they will work. I guess maybe if you have chance do some measuring of your own to see if you think it would fit.

I don't know if it is feasible but maybe make a cardboard cutout of the seat and see if it will fit.

Hope it goes well.

If you typically drive laid way back it may not be as big of a problem. My car is autocrossed and you need to sit up straight and close to the wheel for that. If I laid back a little more the "wing" would be behind the protrusion on the door panel.

I am pretty typical height (5'10") FWIW. If you are taller and sit further back it would also help the situation.

Well I'm 6'3" 190 lbs, so to fit in the seven I have to lean the seats back like a gansta anyway. so I'll have to do a little of my own measuring but I think it'll work. Thanks for getting me started off on the right foot though. At least I know they are 5 inches too big or something rediculous like that....
