Need new motor mounts?

My engine vibrates at idle... you can clearly see the engine vibrates. My friend mentioned about if that engine is more stable, you can put down more power/torque on your wheels. That immediately clicked to my mind and start thinking if I should get some new mounts to replace that?

A small amount of power/responsiveness may be lost from worn mounts. However, your main concern is the vibrations effects on your engine and accesories. You can inspect the mounts fairly easy and they are a cheap item to replace.

Check your tranny mount too, that is the more likely culprit. But before you do anything else, run some Seafoam through the gas tank and see if that takes care of the vibration.
