Need a new carb

hi guys, I have an 85, and I desperately need either a new carb or need it to be rebuilt. the problem is most of the shops i've called around here won't work on it and the only people who are willing to work on it are wanting to charge me around 700 bucks. I'm in the Richmond, VA area, does anyone know of a less expensive option for me? I have a friend who suggested putting a chevy carb in it.

for 700$ you can grab an aftermarket carb built by RB and a manifold thats used.
