your mgb had worn out or misadjusted door hinges, actually your 7 prolly does too.
Actually, no......the MGB was just worn the hell out!

If you SAT in the car, and tried to close the door, you could actually SEE the car flex a bit in the middle, from your added weight.

Take a look at an MGB some day. Imagine the car with the doors open, and you will see, there isn't alot of strength or bracing to keep the car from eventually bending and flexing.

Now, back to the RX-7. The thought crossed my mind that maybe the window frame on top of the door could be a bit bent. I suppose I would need to take a ride in another 84-85 so I can see if there is a difference.
