Things I can think of off the top of my head would be the oil pan and front cover from the 84, the exhaust will bolt up...the only thing is, the intake manifold bolt pattern is different. There is a place that sells adapters but cant remember the name off hand. Once your able to put the 84 SE intake setup on everything else will be fine. You will need to change out the Crank Angle Sensor and use the Distributor off the 84 SE. You can use the 84 SE tranny as well...just do a search and make sure the 84 clutch will mate with the flywheel on the 90 motor.

Any specific question post them up...im sure someone will be able to post something.

best of luck

Not in the case of what your running. If your using the Se intake system then it still retains the 4 oil injectors. So swap out the front covers with the OMP still attached cause you CAN retain using the SE OMP. What you are refering to would be a TII swap while trying to use the TII engine harness, which needs a reading from the electric OMP.

you really dont have much work to do you need an upgraded fuel pump, harness, ecu, se oil pan, se front cover you dont need anything that is attached to the old harness except for the sensors i believe if you dont want to buy an tii ecu and harness then you could go with the microtec Lt10 with the hand controller comes with a harness ecu and everthing you need to hook it up will run up to 8 injectors. also you need second gen ignition system the hole thing dizzy ignitors and all

What about the fact also that, IIRC, the S5 are in the center iron, and the SE injectors are in the intake mani? You will need some way to block these off on the center plate, lest you have an air leak. I think this is correct, someone correct me if I am wrong.

All EFI rotaries have primary injectors in the center iron.

The 2nd gen and later engines just have another set in the lower intake manifold, for secondaries.

it doesnt matter which one that you use they look the same but the S5 is 3 thin sheets of metal. the SE upper will not blot up to the S5 lower and visa versa but the SE lower should bolt right up to the S5 block. it will be restrictive compared to the S5 and if you are using the S5 ecu then there will most likely be too much fuel.

edit: stock fuel pump

the stcok fuel pump is enough for this dont worry about Robert from Rotary Shack uses the stock fuel pump in SE to Tii swaps with out any problems there is enough for an na S5 engine to run.

please correct me if im wrong!

yep as long as it a 6 port engine you could go with the upper intake from the 91 would give you better gas mileage. so they say ill find out when i get my car working

The S5 intake manifold usage is way too much work! You use the Se manifolds.
And for all, The Se fuel pump puts out more fuel than any Stock Turbo fuel pump.

I can't believe the amount of incorrect info that was being supplied in this thread. If you don't know for sure than it's probably better that you don't respond at all.
