Need help with my PCV system...

Need some help with the PCV system on the Rx-7. Finally got around to picking up Peejay's reccomended PCV valve. Got rid of my "lungmustard" but created a vaccum leak. Where it once idled nice and smooth, its now choppy. It smooths out if you clamp the hose from the PCV valve to the manifold. Is this just something you have to live with for the sake of not having "lungmustard".

Any suggestions??

What do you mean by "clamp the hose"? If that solves your problem then just put a hose clamp on it.

If I clamp the hose-no more vaccum on the crankcase-back to having crap in my filler neck.

I am using the PCV valve Peejay reccomended. It is for a 90's Dodge Caravan with the 3L V6.

oh i see, the hose shouldn't go to the manifold. There should be a provision on the carb for it.

I used the nipple on the intake manifold above the rear rotor, as per the instructions...
