They are just fender flares.
Thats a very old photo of Toyo Kogyo's competition car displayed during the Hiroshima press introduction of the first RX-7's.Its unlikely youll find those exact same flares anywhere, 25 years later.

www.selectmaz.com.au comes pretty damn close to that kit, i think its called the moffat c kit or something!
