need help jetting my holley
need help jetting my holley
i have a holley 600 on my sp 12a... here's the scenario:
i was running #60 primary jets and #63 secondary jets... the car was fast,,, but it was a freaking beast from 5.5k to 8k rpm's,, the pickup at that rpm range was incredible!!! but below that,,, it felt like it was getting too much gas and that it could do better... so i changed to #57 primary and stayed #63 secondary.... now the car is a beast up to around 5.5k rpm's but doesn't have the same pick up after that... so i know #57 is a good primary jet # for my car....
the question after this prologue is:
would it make sense to raise the secondary jet # by 3 since i reduced the primary jet # by 3??? so #57 primary and #66 secondary???
i would just find out through trial and error,, but tonight is track night and the spilling of gas to change jets is a pain in the @$$.... i just want to know if my way of thinking is correct,, if i lower primaries by 3,, i should raise secondaries by 3 to keep same high rpm power... thanks in advance....
