My left front headlight on my 83GS has started acting up... The right one comes up fine when I click on the lights, but the left one sometimes doesn't want to come up. Sometimes i hear a relay "clicking" under the hood. I thought it was a loose wire where the fusable links are, but they seem tight now. Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like an electrical problem. Those headlight motors were built to withstand below zero temperatures. Check the wiring from the switch to the left headlamp - the power to the switch should be ok.
