Exclamation Need Help Getting Pedals Out Of Parts Car!!!

Hey Guys,

The Auto to 5 Spd saga continues here in Indiana. I am trying to get the freakin' pedals out of the parts car and I can find out what is still holding them in. I'm trying to be as patient as possible because I am well aware that the pedals are the hardest part of the process. I have taken out the four bolts on the steering column brace and the two bolts and two nuts that are located near the brace. I believe everything was 12mm. I have also removed the two nuts on the clutch pedal that hold in the clutch master cylinder, and the four nuts on the brake pedal that hold in the brake master cylinder. There was also one nut that is sort of under the carpet between the two pedals. I have attached a picture showing the rough locations of everything I have removed. The pedal bracket is still solid as a rock in there. It doesn't even feel like its close to coming out of there. There has to be something still holding it in but I can't find it. I can see up at the top of the two pedals it looks like there is a shaft that runs between them with a nut on each end. Is this holding the pedal assembly in somehow? Or is it independant, and just part of the pedals? I have to be close cause I've taken off lots of stuff but she's still not coming out! Help!

Ummmmm.... damnit, i can remember. I think there are some that bolt to the steering coloum, but i can't remember for the life of me. Just yank the dash out, get a clean view of it.

Parts car eh???? what color is the interior?!?!

I think there may be a bolt or two at the top of the contraption as well. Look in from the engine bay for the bolt mounts, might give you a little insight.

Ok, I've got the brake master and clutch master unhooked. The thing rattles around like its loose, but ****, there is ZERO room to pull those pedals out of there. I honestly don't see how it is possible without taking off the steering column. Anyone? PLEASE HELP? I'm at my wits end here. It looks like it should come out, but it just sits in there and won't budge. Every way you move it there is a bunch of crap in the way....

I had to remove the bolts that hold the steering wheel end of hte steering column up off and bending it downward, it bounces right back and gave just enough room to get that thing out, its a tight fit though thats for sure.
