Need Help Asap

Hey guys well i got my car cranked today after a week of no signs of life. well i cranked it and then started to tune the carb misture screws and i noticed the rear header tube was ALOT!!!!! hotter then the front one and im just curious what the problem could be, i checked the timing on L1 and its good and there is very little heat in the front header pipe but in the rear its HOT. both plugs are firing so im clueless. thanks for the help robert

Check to see that the rear rotor is getting enough fuel. Lean condition will get things hot in a hurry. You may have to pull the top of the carb off and clean the jets and emulsion tubes. Check you float levels while the car is running. They should be half full in the sight glass.

i just got mine started for the first time and it is doing the same thing.... i have holley carb intake header exhaust flywheel exc so it mught not be the stock carb.(unless it is coicidence) i think it might be a vaccum leak though

yeah the same thing here, i got the RB stuff holley carb, intake hiperf exhaust, and it is doing that, i think mine is either vaccum leak or its a a exhaust leak on mine not sure, but once its completely warmed up you dont notice the difference as much, but still some difference in temperature, i just let it run and drove it a couple miles and nothing seemed wrong. so im going to just take it easy a while and see what happens
