I would really appreciate if anyone can shed light into my current problem. Here it goes:

My rx7 came to a stop light and shut off. I had to wait for it to cool down before it would start again. I still does the same exact thing. when it is cold it will start and idle fine. When it reaches operationg temperature, it will die and will not start again until it is cold again. The setup is the following:

13B street port with s5 rotors and a Bigs stage5 Holley 650. I run dual msd 6a's with the direct fire conversion. RB intake, RB streetport exaust etc,etc.

I have checked the ignition boxes and the spark is always there. However, the willingness to start after it is warm is not.

Has anyone run into this before?

Will it continue running if you rev it up? Or it won't run at all once warm?

 

how old is the rebuild? you may have leaky side seals..

 

Rebuild has about 50 miles on it....haven't even broken the engine in yet...

Once warm the engine will continue running if it is reved up. It will drive fine on the primaries but will choke when the secondaries open or die when I come to a stop. Once it dies it will turn over forever but it will not start until the car is cold again.

Fuel pressure is 6 psi through a holley blue pump through a holley regulator.
