Depends on what you plan on sing the car for.

For a street car, the racing beat suspension package along with a set of Tokico HP from re-speed.com are nice (what I run)

If you plan on getting into autocross, respeed makes a nice coilover style setup.

If I were you I'd bypass the RB suspension and go with all RE-Speed. It's nice but you'll eventually want some adjustment so might as well kill that one first. Don't forget your bushings, RE-Speed has a package with all the bushings that should be replaced with urethane. I need to get my hands on that soon.

To be honest, if I did it all again, I don't know if I would go with the coil overs as apposed to the racing beat.

Just a quick cost comparison for springs and sway front and rear:

ReSpeed:
1 x 1978-1985 Rx7, Rear Coil Over Kit
1 x 1978-1985 Front Coil Over Kit, Street/Race
2 x 2.5" ID x 8" Long, Coil Over Spring.
1 x 1979-1985 Tubular Competition Sway Bar

Total $727.99 (No rear sway bar with this either)

Racing Beat:
14080 Complete Spring Set (Net Price $184.00) $165.60
14100 Front Sway Bar (Net Price $128.00) $115.20
14102 Rear Sway Bar (Net Price $209.00) $188.10

Regular Price for the above package - $521.00

Special Package Price - $468.90 (Save $52.10)

For the extra $250 (plus the cost of a rear sway bar if you wanted it) and you were planning to do autocross, or wanted greater adjustment (wanted the super dropped look or some large camber) I would go with the ReSpeed stuff.

I guess what I am saying, is that I have been very happy with my Racing Beat setup, and I don't really want to fuss with the extra adjustment. If i was planning to autocross, then I could see the point in paying the extra and not having to upgrade later on. On top of the prices I posted above, you will also need struts/shocks and if you want, bushings as well. It comes down to how much you want to spend and what you want to use the car for.

Either ReSpeed or Racing Beat. I personally have Tokico Illumina's front, and Tokico Blue's for the rear shocks, and racing beat springs. stock swaybars. it's not too harsh, and it helps with the handling alot. I need to get a full set of graphite impregnated poly bushings, so they don't have to be greased all the time.

I am certainly happy with the RB stuff, but I think it's almost time to step up to something else. The front bar is way too heavy for a car that is supposed to have light weight on it's side. The rear bar, although it's supposed to be adjustable, has a really dumb adjustment design. Too much work for a trial and error part. Although RE-speed doesn't yet have a rear bar.

No argument on the Tokico Blues. Perfect for the street and some agressive mountain driving.

Keep in mind a good set of tires should always be in your budget for suspension. No point having a good suspension if the one thing tying the car to the road is garbage.

I started out with all Racing Beat suspension, but last year started upgrading to the Respeed equipment. Now that everything is installed, there's really no comparison between the two.

But really, it all comes down to what you want to do with the car.
