Unhappy Need a 1st gen distributor in NORCAL.

My dist. when out a week ago and I'm having trouble locating one. Can anyone help?

i'm told its is a nice conversion to losoe it and replace it with a 2nd gen stup (crank angle sensor and 2 coil packs.

That's funny. This is a 2nd gen. And I've converted to a 1st gen ignition. The 2nd gen ECU might go into limp home mode if it does'nt see all the right values, giving you a spark curve you may not want. Also the 2nd gen ECU has a rev limiter about 2k too short for my motor.

I would like to learn more about what it takes to make a 2nd gen set up work on my 1st gen? Ive seen it done in a couple pics, yet i never hear anyone talk about it.

my project is from the ground up so the ignition stuff is all going to have to be re wired anyways and i'mnot having a 2nd gen ecu control my stuff i have a haltech and proly go msd i can set my own rev limits . as for the conversion to the 2nd gen stuff you need to find a 2nd gen crank angle sensor and 2 coils then find a decent rotary shop that know how to wire it lol thats what i'm doing

Uhhh, guys!? My distributor.? Come on focus! Need to get that thing going. If you guys want to switch to 2nd gen stuff maybe we can trade parts? Come on baby, give it up.
