Need 1979 Spring Help

All,

Removed the rear end to do paint and repair. Can't figure out how the springs go back in. Supposed to be an allignment mark but long gone. Which end is up? How should the ends be positioned in relation to axle?

Thanks, Herb

the end of the spring is flush with the notch on the rear axle, upper just goes on the spring rubber, so it doesn't matter
