Narrowed 15" SE wheel choice to these three....

Crap, finding 15" wheels is tough! Even with the "easier to find" 114.3 pattern, good choices are slim. Nobody stocks much of anything in these sizes.

So, I've narrowed it down to three:

Konig "Holes"

And the Exel "Mimi" in either silver or black.

It's for a stock silver SE... kinda like the old one which is in my avatar (that one has Konig GT-R wheels, which are no longer available). Any thoughts are appreciated. Thx!

What are the weights of each wheel? I think that would ultimately be the factor playing the role in my decision. That along with the strength of the wheel.

As far as looks alone go, I say the Konigs have it.... Of course I'm not really a fan of that styling of wheels. Much more of a meshy guy myself.

The Konig wheels are 13.8 lbs... I thing the Mimi are about slightly heavier.

Its up to you of course its your car, but I say go with the meshes, the new style wheels don't look good in my opinion.

But since they all look so similar I would go with the black with polished lip.

what I look for in a wheel in order is

1. easy to clean, becuase having dirty wheels is a no no on a nice car

2. wieght, I like to think that I get more performance out of lightwight wheels

3. tire options, mesh 13'' are cool but they have **** selection for tires.

4. looks, anywheel I choose loooks the best to myself so if a wheel makes it this far they already look good.

5. price, don't skimp on cheap wheels, this is the peice of youre car that will set it apart the most from everyone else and if the wheel that looks the best are expencive, save up until you can affford them rather then buying youre third choice

btw I like the chrome mini's the best out of those three choices.

black/chrome lip wheel are just about as played out as anyting I have ever seen on a car, everycar on the road has these now and only a select few wheels can make it look nice

I would have to agree that everyone is using the black/polished lip wheels on all kinds of cars. I think that it really only looks good if your car is black to begin with. I personally like silver wheels on a silver car but it's your choice to make and noone elses. As for wheel selection you could try the following...
www.dragwheels.com
www.rotausa.com
www.wheelmax.com
and several others that carry the 4x114.3 pattern.

I stll haven't found a better 15" wheel than the Konig shown above. I don't want a 16 or 17, and it's damn tough to find a good 15.

P.S. I'd like to use the BBS wheels that come from the 2nd Gen convertibles.... they are 15x6.5 with 40mm offset, but the 5 bolt pattern. And I have been told that using an adapter would require a higher offset wheel to fit properly.

I saw that too... YOW! However, that's for the race wheel. I've sent them an e-mail; hopefully I'll learn that the street wheels are less expensive.

I like the new ones I picked up off ebay:

Also... get at least 16's if not bigger. I wish I had gone with 17's instead of 16's

Those are nice! What wheel is that? It looks like an Enkei that I saw today (but not available in my size, of course).

Its a Kyowa racing wheel. 16 x 7 with a 38mm offset. Pretty much I found the wheels while looking by looking for civic wheels. You can find alot by looking for 4 x 100 patterns with dual patterns because most are 4 x 114.3 on the dual. I got them brand new off ebay. $450 plus shipping

You want an easy to clean, simple design, try the Sport Edition E1 from tire rack. They are only available in 5 bolt however and are a little on the heavy side. Personally, I like the way they look on the 7. I did a little chopping of a photo I found online (owner of the car, I hope you don't mind). I'm just an amature at photo modification, so
