Mystery Objects, Do You Know What They Are?

Hey, when I was taking out the storage bins for my sub box, there was a box, a gold box. It was mounted to the frame behind the drivers seat (under the storage bins) what does this do? Also, there is a wire that goes through the floor back there to. It has a two connector plug that hooks into the stock wiring harness, is this the fuel pump wires? If not, what is it? Not to worry, I dont plan on removing them or anything, I was just curious as to what they do. If the box is like an old amp or something from the stock stereo then Ill take it out, but it doesnt look like the Clarion one on the passenger side...Basically until I know what it is, im leaving it alone .

PS - It's an 85 GSL with the nifty radio and the joystick in the middle just in case you needed to know.

the box it the factory amp, and the wires go to your fuel pump.

actually the two silver ones are factory amps. The gold box with a huge wiring harness coming out of it is the cruise control computer.

Cut one fuel pump wire and install a switch... Good for anti theft and deflooding.

dont do that,it could damge your engine if you try to start it,go under the dash and the relay is right there in plain sight just right of the colum,it controls fule and spark, hook a switch up to that and you will cut them both so your not sparking with no fuel.
