Oky my 84 gs never has done this before. I swaped my motor a while back and had charging problems. Then my starter stoped working. i fixed it buy changing out the armuture. Then i installed an awia cd player and my battery was low next morning. But she still fired up i let it run for 45 min to charge the battery. Turned it off then fired up kinda sluges but stared. Went to bed then turned the key nextvday and it turns my motor 1 turn and stops My battery has 12.07 v w/o load. so what up

ps i used the power for the stock radio to power my new one

how long did you let it run the second time you started it? sounds like something might be shorted and leaking charge from the battery

 

i just turned it on for about 1 min. today i changed the battery with a good one and it turned on. So i see if it kills this one too. Also my wire on my disturbter does not fire. The wire is new and the cap and rotor are fairly new to. so every once and a while it will miss and i cant pass smog this way. The motor came out of an 83 with 113k and my car only has 93k

 

you should test the alternator to make sure its up to spec.
