Is my RX-7 "uncommon"??
There's no need to retrofit all that stuff. Mine is an "S" and I've never missed any of that stuff that's on the GS (well, maybe the 5 speed). It's just a matter of what you want to do with your car. I like keeping mine basically original...still a great car.

The sun roof was available on the S and GS at $275, as were alloy wheels at $250.
The rarest '79' model was the 'competion model' shown at the Japanese launch. Several were built but I can't find any evidence they went on sale.
