My project: 85 GSL

Started last night and this morning tearing the interior apart and look what I found. So far this is the only cancer I found.







Going to start cleaning the interior before I removed the dash and clean all the AC ducting.

Be sure to check the inside of the rear wheel wells. There is a spot welded patch that Mazda never sealed well from the factory. That's where the rust starts, behind that patch. Also check the contol arm mounts, particularly the upper ones that are welded to the backside of the bins.
