my new mistress

Been lurking the site awile adding my two cents here and there and i finally got a few good pictures of my limited edition. Havent had her a long time and its true what they say, you dont pick your car, it picks you. i was working at an electrical shop in columbus Ga when this guy drops off an rx7. he said another shop had hooked up the battery backward and it wouldnt do anything. i said id take a look and see how bad the damage was and get back with him. well, i hook up the battery and nothing happens so i start checking fuses. all the fuse links on the fenderwell were blown so i replaced them. car starts runs great. i get to looking at the body lines and start seeing just how good looking this car is. interior is nice, paint is good, and im an *** man. i rarely see a car with a good looking *** end. and this thing is gorgeous. So, the guy comes to pick up the car and i tell him if he is ever interested in selling it i was interested. he said ill keep you in mind and drives off. never thought id see him again. the next day he shows up at the shop. asks me if i still want the car, i said hells yeah! asks me how much id give him for it, and i tell him i would hate to give too low of an offer. then he says "ill trade you a gun for it." uncle sam says i cant own a firearm cause i was a bad boy back in 1999. so thats not an option. "500 dollars and you can have it. I'm tired of a jelopy messing up the neighborhood." i was flabbergahsted. i said sure. we signed paperwork and he delivered the car the next day. it wouldnt run. tried and tried but it wouldnt start. so i shot some ether down the gullet and it fired right up, then died. towed the car into the shop and put it on a lift. couldnt hear the fuel pump. so i took an 8 ounce brass hammer and tap the pump and it starts whirring. hot damn. lowered the car and drove it out of the shop. been driving it every since. ive never had this much fun driving a car till now. well thats all for now, enjoy the pics.

That is a beautiful specimen you have there. Not trying to be a hater, but please for the sake of the RX heritage, remove the skull autozone shift ****, and the 65 lbs of speakers in the hatch. 83 LE's like yours are getting rarer and rarer. You have one of the nicer, more sought after versions of the 1st generation Rx-7 on your hands. Please treat it as such....
