THere's a buzzer to remind you to shift, so get rid of that tach (sell it to some ricer on ebay)

Congrats! Looks like a clean 1st gen.
Welcome to the boards. And, the teasing is only meant to motivate you to learn more about your car, so don't take it the the wrong way. It's tough love.

If anyone gives you any crap around here, just say "at least my car runs!" That tends to shut most of the people up around here. Primarily because most of us have "ongoing" projects. Myself included....

clean car! Mind telling us how much you got it for? Interesting that it's missing the center mouldings but the front and back are still on where they surround the side lights.

Looks like a great, clean start. What do you want to do first??? BTW: loose the extra tach- no purpose. Do something meaningful like a RB header, presilencer, Primaflow muffler. Then, manual secondaries.

After I wrecked my lude I started looking for something else. I was over at my friends and he was telling my how his neighbors house cought on fire and burnt, and that there was a car still in the garage. As soon as I saw it was a rx7 I got guys number, but he dident want to sell.
A few weeks went by and I talked to him again, he said that he coudent take less than 600 for her, and he said that he hadent run it for about 6 years. Since my friend lives rite next door, we talked him into letting as take it over there and trying to get it running, then we would talk about a price, he agreed. So after a new fuel pump, battery, and all new fluids we cranked it.. (yes i put oil in the spark plug holes). It ran great!!! I think I ended up giving 500 for it . It only has 96k on it and the interior is like new! The only problem with the body is one SMALL ding on the drivers side door. So anyway, thats the boring story on how I got her..
I took that trim off the side, it was all faded and looked horible. I am not sure what i want to do with her yet.. i have already done some exhaust work, i took the old system off directly after the first pre-cat (or pre silencer?) and ran 2 1/2in pipe with a dynomax and a 40 series flowmaster. it sounds realllyyyyy good. somebody told me that the flowmasters dont last too long with the rx7s.. true???

You got one hell of a deal on that. It looks better than my 84 did when I bought it, and I paid $1700!
If you didnt ruin the side moulding, you should paint it flat black and stick it back on the car.
