Nice, looks good. I Have those same seats and i've only seen them like 4 times. My seats are brown with red stripes though. Don't let her bathe in the snow though. Check for rust behind the storage bins, wheels wells, basically everytwhere. Good luck with the car. God bless
Cool!
Just make sure the rear wheel well/storage bin rust is under control before you try to have it safetied. From the pictures it looks prety damn good except for a bit of bubbling on the rocker panels, which means it just depends on if the wheelwells are ahead or behind the rockers in terms of the cancer. Have you checked behind the rear wheels for rust yet?
I mention it because Im actually just in the process of getting my latest 7 in good enough shape for a safety, finishin up the rust repair and workin out the little bugs. Just tryin to save you some aggrevation!
I remember being so frustrated when I found out my first one didnt pass safety due to the dreaded wheelwell rust. Its also crappy to spend the money for nothing so Im just lookin out for ya.
What end of town are you from?
Its exciting to see another 'pegger here on the forum, there arent too many of us first gen folk around here! hah

Well, I was sorta beaten to it!
Considering you are driving it in the snow, just make sure to take regular runs to the carwash and keep the wheelwells/underside as clean as you can. It doesnt take very long for the salt to eat these badboys!
Also make sure your block heater(s) work and be sure to plug it in on the cold days.
I drove my first 7 for a winter, and ended up losing an engine from it. The cold (especially winnipeg cold) is hell on these motors. I remember the feeling when I would crank it over and it would fire up and the oil pressure would sit at 0 for about 15-20 seconds because the oil was so thick. It still gives me a bad feeling and that was about 3-4 winters ago.
Also, if you are running 20w50 now, make sure you drop to an oil like a 5w30. That will help.
And most importantly, just take it easy. I had too many close calls, and I am thankfull I didnt lose my first 7 to a stupid winter accident. Have fun with it, just dont push it on public roadways. If you have to get your jollies out, hit up a big open parking lot..( I can show ya some good ones lol)
Anyways, have fun with it, just be nice to it and keep yourself safe! My final words of advice.

I've checked it pretty thoroughly underneath and stuff and it looks clean. I am planning to try saftying within the weekend, so we'll see what happens.
I Live in norwood flats, just outside st.boniface. I'm planning (planning) to wahs it every week if i can afford it/have the time, like every thursday on ym way home or something, i'll decide later. I have magnetic block heater i will porbably use in conjuction with the stock one just to keep it a bit warmer, and i'll eb running 5w30 now that you mention it. I will probably invest in some winter/studded tires too. I've had a few close calls, and some "calls" so i know all about the whole stupid winter accident thing. it sucks. I've been cutting down on the bad driving on roads though, i usually go to big empty parking lots or dead streets outisde the city to screw around.
I'm really lookign forward to driving this thing more.

and for around here 2500$ is pretty decent for these, especially one without rust.
