Talking My MoToR bLew ME :( !!

oh man i just knew this could happen. 50% of purchasing a used motor results in failure right...its the golden rule that is unspoken. well i finally drove my turbo fb. "it was " great.. to bad the coolant seals sat to long without being lubed by rotation. ....

long story short the motor is done...for the record...
also for the record, if a motor has been sitting and the compression was 85psi...then rebuild the motor.
.....but its oK i got a great shop to go to. "Face Racing".

I've got one word for you....... Alumaseal. Look for my thread in the Archives, motor is still going strong.

And for low compression on a stored motor, a lot of times they just need to be loosened up with a little use (sticky apex seals).

So, with a little alumaseal in the radiator and a bit of Seafoam in the motor, you're weekend might not be shot afterall....

That's not funny guys. Spontaneous Capitalization is a very serious condition, with no known cure. Have a little compassion!

So were you also in dismay when you picked your user name and title? Not trying to rag on you but I have never understood why people type like that...

No, when i created my name in '02 there was big car wars in Maryland. Hondas were the hot cars to get, specifically the "Type R". On my rear window was my Username, which came from the bag full of Type R badges that i strip off Acuras that had fell to the tail of the rotary. It was a different font and it matched my turrets . check my other post it not present like that. .

you dont have to rebuild...you can work the carbon loose first. if it doesnt increase ur compression then rebuild.
