While after about a week of work/waiting. My 85 gs is up and running with a brand new street port 12a and racing beat header. Plus an older style oil cooler. lots of work will post some pics tommorrow. Thanks for all the help including the belt trick if you don't want to buy a double pulley.

how quick would that be? i wanna know what a 12a can do. like the best ported 12a (n/a) - what could it do in the 1/4?
