That's not a bad looking car, I think I've easily got 12 worse scattered around here!

You sure thats an -SE? Those wheels look like the '79 or '80 special edition wheels and they would be 4x110. I know its not an SA, but it looks like it has the SA wheels.

Good eyes, I see special edition wheels too? It must be a GSL. Do you have the fuel injected 13b under the hood ? If not it's not a GSL-SE. Either way though enjoy and we look forward to helping you.

Exactly. The SA (or any non GSL-SE) wheels won't even fit on a GSL-SE.

LOL. Weeeell... Im pretty sure it is a gsl/se, but i could be wrong. There was only the front mazda emblem and the side rx7 emblems. The owner told my dad that it was a gsl/se, but that guy could be a nub... he did sell it in such great shape for "1,000 obo" but my dad has skillz and got it for 800. Personally i think it is a good birthday present.

Well, if the car has a carb, it's not an -SE.

If you're having trouble locating the carb, there's a good reason for it....

Those do look like the 79 LE wheels.

A bit odd to find them on a car like that.

Show us a pic of the tail lights. Maybe it is a 79 but the front end has been updated?

Yeah, -SE or not, for $800, it looks like a damn good buy. Enjoy.

As for the carb rebuild, GET A HAYNES REPAIR MANUAL.

It's your best friend, and gives a good explanation of LOTS of things that you'll need to do. Actually, damn near everything.

Hit me up with carb questions on AIM at anytime. (barryclipsnbravo). I'm no Rx7Carl, but I know a good amount of stuff that could go wrong with it.

Where in Texas is you? North? South? East? West? About how far from El Paso?

Thanks. Will post some pics soon. Just put the rear shocks in, what a pain my dad practically shattered his elbow breaking the bottom bolt loose. And i doubt he will have a 7 soon. He is in love with 2004 Pontic Gran Prix GTP/Compition Group. I love superchargers.
