Stiff ride

My wife likes the way the car looks and can't wait for the new paint job this year. But she doesn't like the ride much...or getting in and out of it (bang your head, LOL). As far as the 5 speed, out of 5 cars, 4 have been sticks. That is what she prefers. And this car was my Mom's from 87 till 04! At 72 she finally had to give it up!

Hahahaa I'm sorry for laughing, but its just funny from my point of view. I can't believe you let her drive your 7, I've only let ONE other person drive my RX7 and he was an rotary enthusiast that could be trusted. If it had been me I would have walked to safety.

Man I don't understand this whole 'girls not liking 7's thing' myself. But remember how you felt next time she takes you shoe shopping

trust me you can find a girl that likes your 7. my girl loves my car more than i do(well almost). she worries when i drive it too hard or if someone cuts me off she gets more angry than i do. like i mentioned earlier, and others have mentioned. drop the girl, not the car. this is going to sound a little Dr. Phil, but don't change for anyone, especially if changing makes you unhappy.

why would anybody not wanna drive a 7?, i mean if they are 7ft tall, they might have issues fitting in there, but other than that they're awesome

my girlfriend likes my car she thinks its "pretty". The only problems that she has is that i spend all of my time and money on it when i can. Sometimes she even helps me work on it.

My ex loved RX7's almost as much as I did and she helped me pick out some interior stuff. Before I bought the Fb though she left me so I'm looking into an Fc instead.

Eh, I wouldn't let my girl drive my car, for the simple fact that she's a CRAZY BITCH.

When I let her drive the GTO, she was making ME nervous!

Needless to say, she likes the rex

The OTHER one thought it was a Celica from the start. She isn't allowed anywhere near the car

just remember to tell our women...
-to fully appreciate the rx-7 you must be fully vested and enjoy the little mannerisms that accompany such a piece of history.
-then when she asks what your talking about... honey i take car of my car, and love my car in much the same way i take care of you and love you. YOU BOTH NEED MONEY, TIME AND EFFORT SO GET OFF MY BACK ABOUT NOT ENOUGH ROOM FOR YOUR CRAP IN IT!!!
-besides, my rx-7 wasn't designed to have mardi-gras beads hanging from the rear-view.

Well spoken. The RX7 is a necessary evil just like women. They both devour our money and natural resources, but we love them ever still.

And if the bitch still says stuff about the RX7 remind her that if its so fashionable to have a small handbag that holds nothing at all, why not have a small car that holds nothing at all too (just some power and fun)?

When I had my first of four 1st gens I briefly dated a girl who never missed an opportunity to criticize the car. (She was into the more exotic status-mobile type cars--- Porsche, Beemer, etc. and suggested I trade in for one). She got replaced mere hours after our first and only sexual tryst by another girl who had been dropping hints for the previous few weeks.

I don't know who the first girl is with now, but I'd imagine he's rich (or she wouldn't give him the time of day), has had his ***** surgically removed by her and a ***** that could fit into a headphone jack with room to spare.

I've got my GF trained now. First she said my 79 was a pos, then she loved it when I auto-x with her in it. Then I got my 85 SE and she cant stay out of it. Oh and a smart friend of mine once said: "whats the useless skin around the vagaina called?" I look around like I can figure it out, and he replys " The Woman" ...

well my friend i'd tell her the same thing i'd tell my G/F "honey the car was here way before you and i'm in love with it too so either deal with it or hit the road because my car will always be here for me when i'm having a shitty day and you might not be" that should either shut her up or fire her up but either way you still have the car so you win in the long run. This is my first post in the 1ST GEN section by the way so nice to meet all of you first gen guys __________________________________________________ ______BRIAN____________oh ya the useless skin thing is funny as a bastard i've gotta remember that one---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You guys must be unlucky, while my gf is far from a motorhead she likes my car and enjoys riding in it, she likens the ride quality to that of a wooden roller coaster, but she likes roller coasters, so its all good hehe Shes even coming over sunday to help me rip the a/c out of my car, now thats hot

What past g/f's have hated were its age, it looked ugly, it was noisy, it didn't have the valium ride of a sedan. She'd bitch that I should exercise those options and get a decent car.

I exercised the options when they were worth a Ferrari Testarossa. Now that rx-7 looks like a testarossa to her.
